My project, “New Zealand Through My Eyes,” captures how my identity as a Mexican woman shaped my journey through the study abroad program. My cultural background and passion for social justice deeply influenced how I experienced and engaged with New Zealand’s culture. I approached the country with a unique lens, uncovering stories ,people and  lessons that stood out to me. My individual project explores decolonization and gender dynamics within the Māori community and how these issues intersected with my own identity and worldview.
